The school doors open each morning at 8.40am. For the safety of the children, they should not arrive at school before 8.35am (unless they attend breakfast club). Children will not be supervised on the school playground before 8.40am, as staff have a morning meeting. Members of the Leadership Team and a class teacher are on the playground each morning to greet children and solve any problems. As soon as the doors open, all children should go straight into their classroom.

The school bell is rung promptly at 8.55am each morning and all doors and gates will be closed. Please ensure your child arrives punctually and we ask that you get your children into the playground in good time to go into. The day starts with a guided reading or phonics session that it is crucial that your child takes part in – late arrivals disrupt the class and will result in loss of learning for your child.

Children arriving after 8.55am will be marked as late by the office staff. This will be recorded and show on your child’s absence and lateness record. Parents of children whose attendance or punctuality cause concern will be required to meet with the Family Liaison Officer and Principal.
