Principal's welcome

It is my pleasure to welcome you to St. Patrick’s Catholic Primary Academy website. We are a popular and thriving school in the heart of Wednesfield where every day we have the pleasure of welcoming in our pupils from Nursery to Year 6.

We are a caring community that promotes the Gospel values in all aspects of our busy school life. Christ is at the centre of all that we do and we firmly believe in a collaborative partnership between home, school and parish so that together we can support every child to learn and to grow. We aim to develop the uniqueness of each child emotionally, physically, intellectually, spiritually and socially to enable them to reach their true potential as Children of God.

I am so proud of all that we have achieved so far at St. Patrick’s and look forward with excitement to all we will achieve in the future. We hope that your child will benefit in every way from the education received here in St. Patrick’s Catholic Primary Academy and we encourage you all to come and get to know us, the staff, so that we can work together for the best interests of your child. If you do not already know our school you are very welcome to book an appointment and visit.

We are a happy school and one that always welcomes support from our community – we proudly call ourselves St. Patrick’s family.

Year 6 parents - you have until October 31st to complete applications for Secondary schools!Applications are now being taken for secondary school places for pupils due to start Year 7 in 2025. If your child is currently in Year 6, you have until 31 October, 2024, to apply for a place at your preferred secondary schools at www.wolverhampton.gov.uk/admissions.

To help parents and pupils make their decision, all secondary schools in Wolverhampton are holding open events to give them the opportunity to see what’s on offer. Further details are available at orlo.uk/odCfa or by contacting individual secondary schools directly or visiting their websites.

Councillor Jacqui Coogan, Cabinet Member for Children, Young People and Education said: “If your child has just started their final year at primary or junior school, now is the time to start thinking about their secondary school place for next year. This is one of the most important decisions you can make for your child, so please don't miss the deadline. Ensuring applications are made by the end of October can increase the chances of securing a place at a preferred school.”
