Principal's welcome

It is my pleasure to welcome you to St. Patrick’s Catholic Primary Academy website. We are a popular and thriving school in the heart of Wednesfield where every day we have the pleasure of welcoming in our pupils from Nursery to Year 6.

We are a caring community that promotes the Gospel values in all aspects of our busy school life. Christ is at the centre of all that we do and we firmly believe in a collaborative partnership between home, school and parish so that together we can support every child to learn and to grow. We aim to develop the uniqueness of each child emotionally, physically, intellectually, spiritually and socially to enable them to reach their true potential as Children of God.

I am so proud of all that we have achieved so far at St. Patrick’s and look forward with excitement to all we will achieve in the future. We hope that your child will benefit in every way from the education received here in St. Patrick’s Catholic Primary Academy and we encourage you all to come and get to know us, the staff, so that we can work together for the best interests of your child. If you do not already know our school you are very welcome to book an appointment and visit.

We are a happy school and one that always welcomes support from our community – we proudly call ourselves St. Patrick’s family.

'Slow Down' - never run across the road even if you think there is time.
As Year 6 pupils look ahead to starting secondary school parents are being encouraged to go on practice walks with them and show them road safety skills.
Support The Think! #SafeAdventures campaign and teach your child:
• Eyes Up: Look around, avoid distraction.
• Slow Down: Never run across the road, assess traffic.
• Cross Safely: Avoid parked cars, use pedestrian crossing if there is one.

Today the focus is on Slow down:
Never run across the road when traffic is coming even if you think there is time.
It can be difficult to judge the speed of traffic. Be aware that traffic may speed up. If traffic is coming let it pass.

The City of Wolverhampton Council is also keen to hear from those interested in becoming school crossing patrol wardens. Vacancies can be found at orlo.uk/H8Ngv
